///////////////////// CASE STORY
Kuvoka +
A logo that dropped harder than the bass at 4 a.m.
It was just past dawn, and we found ourselves sitting on a cold pavement, our ears still ringing from the night’s relentless beats.
The city was quiet, almost surreal, as if it hadn’t just witnessed hours of non-stop rave…
Out of nowhere, Kuvoka turned to me, and asked, “What if you did my branding?” I laughed, shaking my head. “No way,” I said, “You’re too unpredictable for a logo.”
Just a few days later, that early morning conversation came knocking again, this time with urgency. Kuvoka called me up, the echo of a new track buzzing in the background, and said, “Remember that logo idea? I’m about to drop a new track, and more ideas …and I need it.” It wasn’t just a passing thought anymore. The excitement in his voice was infectious, and this time, I didn’t laugh. I grabbed my sketchbook.
When I finally revealed the sketches, Volkan’s eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. “This… this is exactly what I need,” he said, practically vibrating with excitement.
The idea of Kuvoka+ was unconventional—a combination of a bold, edgy wordmark and an icon that was pure energy, wild yet refined. They were different in style, but when brought together, they captured the duality of his music: precision and chaos, melody and mayhem.
Once the design was finalized, Volkan didn’t just use the logo—he lived it. The Kuvoka+ symbol started appearing everywhere, like a secret language only true fans understood. He had it emblazoned on his t-shirts, making it a staple of his wardrobe.
It wasn’t just branding anymore; it was a part of who KUVOKA was, both on and off the stage.
It was a night, he called me. “We need to throw a reveal party,” he said. We walked for hours and ended up eating the worst street food in the city just in front of the nightclub.
He flew back to Canada the next morning, we didn’t call each other again.
